Procurement Divison

Procurement Division of the Ministry was established to obtain Value for Money by ensuring the Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness of the procurement activities. This division coordinates all activities relating to procurement falling within the authority limits of the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (CAPC) and the Ministry Procurement Committee (MPC).

Objectives of the procurement Division

Maximizing economy, timeliness and quality in Procurement in least cost with high quality

(a) Adhering to prescribed standards, specifications, rules, regulations and good governance

(b) Providing fair, equal and maximum opportunity for eligible interested parties to participate in procurement

(d) Compliance with local laws and regulations and international obligations

(e) Ensuring transparency and consistency in the evaluation and selection procedure(f) Retaining confidentiality of information provided by bidders

(g) Monitoring and evaluation of the Procurement Plan
